Writer and Researcher
I am a Lecturer in Digital Media and Culture Education in the Department of Digital Humanities at King's College London.
I hold a Ph.D. in Digital Politics from the Department of History, Politics and Philosophy, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Manchester Metropolitan University – where I also worked as an associate lecturer. My PhD examined the political economy of submarine cables to understand digital coloniality.
My doctoral research has morphed into a continuous research agenda: I currently research the governance and risks of communication technologies and infrastructure with a specific focus on developing countries and post-colonial thought. I am also interested in how physical infrastructures shape culture - particularly language and visuality.
I am curious about sustainable investments and how to finance inclusive economic growth for developing markets. Previously, I worked with Reframe Ventures (formerly Ventures ESG) as their Research Lead for Emerging Markets; and at Cassava Republic Press as Publicity and Marketing Manager.
My essays have been published across academic and non-academic platforms.
